🎉好消息！维吾尔族歌曲作者亚夏尔·肖合拉提（Yashar Shohret）在服刑期满后终于获释，与家人团聚。此前他因“宣扬极端主义”和“非法持有极端主义材料”等罪名，被判处3年有期徒刑。该判刑与他通过音乐表达文化认同及持有维吾尔文学作品有关。

✊🏻他本不应该因为行使自身权利而被监禁。

我们祝愿亚夏尔及家人一切顺利，并呼吁中国当局必须保障他们的权利与自由。

The arrest of Zhang Yi after he showed a photograph of the Dalai Lama while visiting a monastery is a chilling reminder of how far the Chinese authorities will go to police the peaceful exercise of human rights.

This case bears all the hallmarks of the Chinese authorities’ long-standing misuse of the offence of ‘inciting separatism’ to criminalize peaceful expression in Tibetan areas and in relation to Tibetan history, culture and religious belief.

Displaying a photograph of a religious leader should never be treated as a threat to national security.

The Chinese authorities must immediately release Zhang Yi as he has been detained solely for the peaceful exercise of his human rights.

A prominent Christian pastor has been freed from prison in China and is now safe inside the U.S. Pastor Ezra Jin Mingiri arrived in Los Angeles on July 4, 2026. The release happened after President Trump brought up his case when meeting with Chinese leader XI Jinping in Beijing two months ago.
