We’re proud to share that 22 young people from Soccer Unity Project will be part of the FIFA World Cup 26™ Player Es**rt Program.

They were identified through our community in recognition of the role they already play here and the values, commitment and contribution they show every day.

On June 23rd, they’ll walk onto the pitch alongside some of the biggest soccer players in the world, a huge moment for them and for our wider community too.

This opportunity is part of a wider program supported by Quaker and Common Goal, connecting young people from communities across the United States to FIFA World Cup 26.

Soccer Unity Project believes the game belongs to everyone, and this summer we’re seeking individuals who believe in this mission to join our team! We are hiring Junior Coaches (ages 14-18), Senior Coaches (ages 19-24) and a Site Coordinator/Head Coach in partnership with to support our GOALS program in the South End and Lower Roxbury.

We’re looking for passionate individuals who are excited to grow as coaches, mentors, and leaders while creating meaningful soccer experiences for youth in our community. These opportunities are more than a summer job, they are a opportunity to experience intentional professional development while gaining hands-on experience leading clinics, mentoring and managing younger coaches, and building inclusive spaces where every player feels seen, safe, and inspired.

Our Travel Team program is built on holistic player development, helping players grow their skills while learning teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship along the way. At Soccer Unity Project, travel soccer is about more than making a team. It’s a place for young people to be challenged, supported, and celebrated as they grow as players and as people.

We kicked off our biggest spring grassroots season ever - 286 players, including 136 girls who now make up 47% of our community. Just one year ago, that number was 32%.

This is what growth looks like. More girls stepping onto the field for the first time. Coaches showing up every week. A community dedicated to creating opportunities for young people across Boston to grow through soccer.

Our girls preseason kickoff with was a powerful reminder of why representation and access matter. 

Many of our players shared that this was one of the most memorable experiences they’ve had in the game, and for some, it was the first time they truly felt represented by professional athletes.

Moments like these strengthen the work we do at Soccer Unity Project to create spaces where girls feel seen, valued, and connected to a bigger future in soccer.
