Throwback to where it all began! 🎉

We want to take a moment to celebrate our very first scholarship recipients, Ashley Inoa and Yuberkey Santana Mateo, Lawrence High School Alumni of the Year 2023.

Both Ashley and Yuberkey pursued nursing: Ashley at UMass Lowell and Yuberkey at Northern Essex Community College, building futures grounded in care and service.

Looking back at our beginning fills us with so much pride. It's a reminder of exactly why we do this work: helping our young Hispanic generation reach further, dream bigger, and create a bright future.

Here's to many more scholars to come.

MAHSF Impact Since 2022 🎓

Over the past four years, we have awarded $54,000 in scholarships to Hispanic students across Massachusetts — helping cover the cost of college for graduating seniors ready to take the next step in their education.

We've also reached nearly 1,000 students through our high school outreach and education program at Lawrence and Chelsea High Schools—providing students and families with essential information on curated scholarships targeted to Hispanic students, helping them navigate the challenging scholarship landscape.

Supporting the growth and bright futures of Massachusetts’ Hispanic students remains the proud, ongoing mission of MAHSF.

We're proud to celebrate two incredible Chelsea High School graduates who are part of our 2025–2026 MAHSF scholarship cohort!

♦ Monica Cespedes Cruz — $4,000 award, heading to Salem State to study Sports and Movement Sciences
♦ Rafael Abrahante — $2,000 award, heading to National Aviation Academy to pursue an A&P License

Each of these scholars represents the talent, resilience, and ambition of our Hispanic student community in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We can't wait to see everything they accomplish! ❤

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, I thought I would reach out to ask for your vote for our charity. Thanks in advance.

The charity that I represent - Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund (mahsf.org) was chosen by Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union for their quarterly Give-A-Click Campaign where three charities vie for a $1,500 donation. Throughout the quarter the organization with the most votes wins. If you go to jdcu.com/giveaclick, you can scroll down and see our video and vote - we would really appreciate a vote!

As background the goal of the Massachusetts Hispanic Scholarship Fund is to address some of the most challenging issues Hispanic students and families face in navigating scholarships while providing an impactful scholarship of its own. As a 501 c3 charitable organization we seek to work with high schools in the Commonwealth that have the largest Hispanic communities with the greatest need.

We awarded a $4,000 & $2,000 scholarship to our outstanding inaugural scholars - 2 amazing students moving on to college in the Fall. So Proud! Congratulations!
