Today we had a meet up with some moms and I forgot to take a picture! But I also forgot to post our last meet up so here it is! It’s so nice getting together with other moms who don’t bat an eyelash when you share your struggles. If you haven’t already joined our group, please do! I’m trying to schedule more periodic meetups!

We’re meeting up in Natick Center and I would love to see some faces there. 💛

No agenda, no pressure — just coffee, good conversation, and people who actually get it.

RSVP in the Facebook group so I know who’s coming! 🙋‍♀️

Wrote this month’s newsletter from my couch, recovering from surgery, thinking about perimenopause and what it means to finally take care of yourself after 12 years of putting yourself last.

Mother’s Day looks a little different when your village knows things other people don’t.

The waiting rooms. The school emails. The wins that took three years to get here.

You’re not just a mom. You’re an advocate, a researcher, a scheduler, a soft place to land — every single day.

Today, that’s enough. You are enough.

Share this with a mom in your village who needs to hear it. 💛

An autistic self-advocate is taking the mic — and we’re here for it. 🎤

Andrew Arboe is speaking at on May 20th about how his special interests shaped his life. Childcare provided. Virtual option available. All are welcome.

This is the kind of event worth clearing your evening for.

If you work with families raising kids with disabilities in Massachusetts — therapists, tutors, advocates, photographers, dentists — you belong in this directory.

Because parents in this village don’t Google. They ask each other. And when someone asks, we want your name to come up.

List your practice for free at momsofamazingkids.org/providers

Want to stand out? Partnership options start at $20/month.

Things nobody tells you about getting a diagnosis:

→ Relief and grief can exist in the same breath
→ You will Google until 2am and still feel lost
→ The “right” specialist has a 9-month waitlist
→ Your marriage will be tested
→ You will become the expert in the room
→ It gets different. Not easier. Different.

If you’re in month one — I built the guide I wish I’d had.

“But they don’t LOOK autistic.”

Say it with me: Autism doesn’t have a look.

It has a lived experience. And every family’s is different.

Some kids stim in the grocery store. Some mask all day and fall apart at home. Some need AAC. Some talk your ear off about trains for 45 minutes straight.

All of them are amazing. Full stop.

The hardest conversations this month aren’t online. They’re at the dinner table, in the school parking lot, with your own family.

We made a free resource pack for exactly those moments:

→ What acceptance actually looks like at home, at school, and online
→ Scripts for grandparents, friends, strangers, and your own kids
→ Active MA bills + events happening this month
→ A section on profound autism — because acceptance includes everyone
→ A permission slip just for you
