On Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 6 pm, the Department of Public Health will hold a public hearing at Florian Hall, 55 Hallet St, Boston, addressing the closure of Carney Hospital. We urge all members to voice their concerns about the imminent repercussions on the community.

The closure of Carney Hospital is anticipated to have significant adverse effects:
📍Decrease access to local mental health services
📍Challenge residents of , , and in finding new healthcare providers amidst a strained healthcare system
📍Increase travel distances for emergency care, posing potential risks to residents of , , and .
