What's good, y'all! Join us in celebrating our Artistic director and co-executive director BILA as he prepares to make his big move to Albuquerque, NM!

Message from BILA:

"What's good y'all. I'm sure some of you heard already, but for those who haven't, I'm going to be moving from Greater Boston to Albuquerque, NM at the end of November. I'm making this decision so that I can continue to support my partner through medical school.

While I'm in Albuquerque, I'll be keeping my roles as artistic director and co-executive director of TFC. The biggest change is that I won't be as tapped in to the Boston community as I once was, and I won't be able to help out as much for our in-person programming and events, but I'll still do the best I can to stay connected.

To everyone that's been a part of my journey - thank you from the bottom of my heart. I've lived here my entire life, and the beauty of that is the community that I've been able to surround myself with. Some of y'all have known me since grade school, others I've met just this year, and everyone else is scattered in between. Whether I've known y'all for 2 weeks or 20 years, I wouldn't be who I am without all of y'all. This will always be my home, so keep my seat warm - I'll be back as soon as I can!"

VIVRANT started off as an idea to throw a kick back so we can come together, dance to good music & enjoy our time, in a space that was for all of us. No competition, no bracket, just a real party for real people, and y’all made it exactly that!

The amazing folks that made this all go round:
🎵 Nene Music spinning a beautiful set of 2000-2010’s era Hip Hop and R&B, bringing us back with all the details
🍹 Cazimiro J. Cabral returning to the bar with his specialty cocktail menu
🤝 ksc Wil Kenny ✌️ [al]] Majesty Mangeni kev J'Quan Oliver volunteering their time and helping us open & close up shop
🔊 Sammy SavThaiSoul (สารวุฒิ) McKersin TheVisionary Nikoi Coley making sure we had the best sound possible
🏄 kei ☆彡 capturing all these fun moments on camera and creating a recap we can all look back on
📷 Nicole Skinner grabbing pics all night long, photos coming next!
🎞️ Ashley Flores coming thru with the photo booth and prints
👩‍🍳 Melinda with the good eats to refuel
👾 Sewpreme Seams Cultural Equity Incubator pulling up to join the party

There were so many hands helping along the way which is why we always say that it does not happen without our community. Thank you for continuing to show up for us and each other, let’s keep rocking 💙 💚
