(Part 4) East Boston Sports Day on the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway was an incredible success! What a fun-filled day for kids, families, and even the adults who came out to enjoy the festivities. We are so grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and helped bring this special event to life.
A huge highlight of the day was welcoming some of New England's favorite mascots and entertainers. Special thanks to Wally the Green Monster (Boston Red Sox), Blades the Bear (Boston Bruins), Woodgy (New England Free Jacks), Slyde the Fox (New England Revolution), and the always energetic Lucky the Leprechaun (Boston Celtics), the Celtics Dancers who thrilled the crowd alongside the incredibly talented FloorLords Breakdancers.
The energy never stopped thanks to DJ Damien Margardo, who kept everyone dancing and moving to the music at Bremen Street Park. We were also honored to have Todd Angilly, the iconic voice of the Boston Bruins, deliver a powerful rendition of the National Anthem. NESN personality Adam Pellerin joined us and greeted the enthusiastic crowd!
A very special thank you goes out to Massport's Parks Department for their partnership and hard work in helping us execute the event flawlessly.
