Today is National Youth HIV/AIDS Day, and we’re highlight the power young people have in ending
the epidemic. 💪

People 30 and under make up nearly 30% of HIV diagnoses in MA, and proper testing and education (offered by ) can reduce that number to zero. ♥️

Young people are our future - and at the planning council we are taking big steps to invest in them.

National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is observed each year on the first day of spring, chosen by Native communities as a celebration of life for all people.

In 2023, 47% of American Indian and Alaska Native people reported having ever been tested for HIV—higher than the U.S. national average of 37%, but young American Indian and Alaskan Native people, aged 25-34, had the highest percentage of new HIV diagnoses of any age group for all American Indians and Alaskan Natives diagnosed

This underscores the importance of culturally responsive HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care to continue to support Native communities.

We are proud to support Native American Lifelines doing the work here in Boston. Join us on March 29th, from 12-3 PM for an afternoon of renewal, respect, and collective strength!

It was an honor to watch our amazing council members, Regina Grier and Carla Norris, strut their stuff at this year’s Runway of Resilience! ✨💃

Runway of Resilience, an event hosted by Fenway Health, paired fashion designers with those living
with HIV to honor them. In addition to walking the runway, Carla and Regina had a chance to tell their stories as HIV-positive women who are living and thriving! ❤️

A huge thank you to Fenway health and our amazing council members. Your work to end the epidemic amazes us everyday! 💕

When you think about HIV, do you think about women?

This National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, you should be. Women make up 29% of all HIV infections in Massachusetts—they deserve a place in this conversation!

A huge thank you to all of our council members who advocate for women living with HIV everyday. ❤️

Living is not a crime! ♥️

In 32 states, an undetectable person could potentially be arrested for having unprotected s*x, even though it is medically impossible for them to transmit HIV. ❌

This is dangerous. The laws that allow this are rooted in HIV stigma and haven’t taken into account the strides in HIV treatments over the past decades. 🩺

People living with HIV deserve better. Their existence is not a crime. ✨
