Eat for Equity Boston

Eat for Equity Boston Join us to eat, drink, do good and be merry! We bring people together around good food to raise money for good causes.

Friends and friends of friends gather in different homes each month in different cities to eat meals made from scratch. In coming together, we manage to do some small good for a community larger than our own. Our home-cooked suppers center on a specific country or theme and we raise money for an organization working in different parts of the world, and in our own region, on behalf of a range of causes.

The funds have been counted and last weekend's benefit dinner raised $680 for the Prison Book Program - helping to send books to 225 individuals. Great job, everyone, and special thanks to organizers, volunteers and the United First Parish Church. If you'd like to be informed of future events with E4E, email us at [email protected].

Picking up momentum, as we near our goal - to raise money for the Prison Book Program's postage fund, which will help send free books to prisoners. Spread the word about our vegan feast this Saturday in Quincy (across the street from the Quincy Center Red Line T stop) - which will include a tour of the crypts in which our second and sixth presidents are interred and a peek at the PBP's offices.
