July 20th marks 27 years of persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party. On July 23rd, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, for a large rally calling for an end to the persecution. To celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary, Vermont’s capital city of Montpelier held a grand Independence Day parade on July 3. Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in the event with a parade contingent featuring a flag team, an exercise demonstration, and a traditional waist drum performance. Their presentation was warmly received by local residents and spectators along the parade route.

During the American Transplant Congress (ATC) in Boston (06/19 - 06/24), Falun Gong practitioners and representatives from Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting gathered outside the venue to raise awareness about alleged forced organ harvesting in China. They also called for support of S.4009, the Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act, currently under review in the U.S. Senate.
