Who supports the people everyone depends on?

Caring for a loved one can touch every part of life—from work and finances to physical and emotional well-being. When resources are limited, families can struggle to meet everyday needs while providing the care someone depends on.

This year, The Newbury Cup is seeking nominations for Greater Boston nonprofits that support families caring for loved ones—whether by helping cover essential expenses during serious illness, providing meals and transportation, offering caregivers time to rest, or supporting families living with other disabilities.

We’re also introducing the Boston Caretaker Awards with the English Future Foundation: five extraordinary individual caregivers will each receive $5,000. A new way to honor compassion in action—more to come!! TY Paul English🦖 Rachel Cohen English for your generous spirit! 🙏

Special Announcement to our Newbury Cup members planning to walk in this wknd!
Due to external factors beyond their control…associated with the impacts of recent record snowfall & sustained frigid temperatures, the Winter Walk event cannot be set up safely on Boston Common this weekend & has been rescheduled to March 22, 2026.
They regret any inconvenience this rescheduled date might cause. While disappointing, this change is also a powerful reminder of the reality our unhoused neighbors face every day.
For many people experiencing homelessness, winter weather isn’t an inconvenience or a reason to postpone plans—it’s a daily and often dangerous challenge…underscoring why this work matters so deeply.
Thank you for your support & we’ll see you 3/22/26!
