We bring the welcome of Christ to the homeless community in Greater Boston. Showing mercy to the marginalized is fundamental to the Capuchin mission.

Capuchin Mobile Ministries is a ministry of spiritual caregiving to our homeless sisters and brothers. We take our inspiration from Saint Francis, who embraced lepers and made them know that they were precious to God. It is how we live the Gospel and share it with others. We also take inspiration from Pope Francis, who calls for the Church to be like a field hospital that takes in those who are si

ck or weak in spirit and revives their souls. We invite you and your Catholic community to volunteer with Capuchin Mobile Ministries and be Church with our homeless neighbors. We need volunteers to accompany us on our trips, to make sandwiches for the outreach trips, and to drive the outreach van. You can give online to support Capuchin Mobile Ministries. Or you can make a check payable to Province of St. Mary of the Capuchin Order (memo line: Capuchin Mobile Ministries) and mail it to Province of St. Mary of the Capuchin Order, 30 Gedney Park Drive, White Plains, NY 10605. Sunday, June 14th
Many thanks to Priyanka and her family for the sandwiches and their ongoing support! Amy again joined us, this time with her two daughters. Talk about a proud parent day! Amy is on camera capturing them at their ‘barista’ positions with Br. Paul and Rhea (well, her back), during an uncharacteristically quiet moment at the Boston Public Library. Tuesday, June 9th and Thursday, June 11th
No photos available for Tuesday though a short note of thanks is due for Maureen, who provided sandwiches for the day, and Rev. Molly, Charlie, and Mark who joined Br. Paul and Br. Shawn on the van. One hundred and sixty-five folks joined us for the day!
Thursday. ‘Team St. Brigid’s’ was back with Andy and Claudia providing both sandwiches and serving as ‘baristas’ for the afternoon. Grateful to them and St. Brigid’s for the continued support. We are back in our summer groove with one hundred-fifty visitors gracing us on a warm and pleasant day. Memorial Service—Boston Engagement Center, June 5th

We were privileged to join other faith leaders from the Boston area for the quarterly memorial service which honors and remembers our friends who have passed. A solemn celebration of life capturing the value of each individual life, the importance of presence and accompaniment at the margins, and the reminder that we must never forget. CMM staff Br. Paul (on music), Amanda (delivered the closing prayer), and Vince (on camera) caught up with other past and present CMM volunteers and auxiliary chaplains involved in the event; Elizabeth from the Boston Faith & Justice Network, Sara, and Mark. Thursday, June 4th
We were blessed with a warm and rain-free day with 160 friends who stopped by for a visit. The high 80’s temperature were met with seven gallons of lemonade finished by the last stop! Thanks again go to Frank (file picture) who provided the day’s sandwiches that were enjoyed by all. On the van L-R, Vince, Rhea, Mary Anne, Dan, Amanda L., and Br. Sunday to Sunday, 24-31 May
Our social media and photography department were on retreat this week, i.e., no photos (Vince was fishing in Maine… and is back). We included a few file photos and wanted to thank all who made these last four outings possible. The auxiliary chaplains who supported Brothers Paul and Shawn included Rhea, Reverend Molly, Mary, and Gary. Thanks for sandwiches go to Jess, Jassmine, Jim, Andy, and Claudia (and their families and churches). That is a lot of love and effort to support four outings that connected us with our many friends. Tuesday, May 21st
Many thanks to the The First Church in Swampscott, United Church of Christ, for the sandwiches (crew pictured below). This is our own Amanda Grant-Rose’s home church; she orchestrated the effort, delivered the goods, and joined us on the van for a day as chaplain to the 150 folks who visited. On the van L-R, Rhea, Amanda, Amy, Pat, and Vince. A big welcome to Pat, friend of Rhea’s, who joined us for her first outing as barista. Pat is no stranger to ministry as she supports Ecclesia Ministries - common cathedral. Great effort! Please keep all in your thoughts and prayers. Peace and all good.
