Climate Culture Boston Climate Culture Boston is an initiative of Rare, an international conservation organization specializing in social change for the environment.

Rare’s Climate Culture program uses insights from the science of human behavior to inspire Americans to adopt key behaviors around food, energy use, transportation, and supporting nature to help reduce carbon emissions. Climate Culture Boston is Rare's first community-focused initiative in the U.S. and aims to help Bostonians cut emissions deeply by 2030.

Our Senior Director, Frank Lowenstein, spoke at MassEnergize's annual Community Climate Leaders Conference, lending his voice to a conversation on Building the Climate Movement as moderated by The Boston Globe’s Sabrina Shankman, with fellow panelists Sue Vatnick (THIS! Is What We Did), Crystal Johnson (Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs), and Darr Reilly (Carbon CREW Project).

Lowenstein encouraged attendees to shift focus away from climate denial and embrace proactive solutions, creating opportunities for impactful .

The panel also sparked discussions on and highlighted youth as a source of hope and energy in the climate movement.
