WELL HEY THERE PYTA.

Long time no talk.

It's your old friend, Theo Meacham, here, ready to give you an update from the PYTA Board.

Listen, we know it has been a bananas, world changing couple of years. It has for PYTA, too. As we all continue adjusting to our new normal amongst unprecedented local and global events over and over and over, PYTA has been trying (and it will be an ongoing process) to define our identity and our place in the landscape.

First- we want to extend massive, passionate, and heartfelt THANK YOUs to Eziah Blake who has served as board chair and brought phenomenal leadership, clarity, and brilliance to the role. Eziah will be rotating off the board as of January 1st, 2024.

Shay Li will be continuing on for another year in their capacity as Outgoing Board Chair. We are so fortunate to have their continued leadership and vision.

I (Theo Meacham) will be assuming the position of Chair of the Board January 1st, 2024. I am so honored to serve the community for another year.

Chad Parsons is stepping into the role of Vice Chair. Chad has been a dedicated board member for the past several years, and the perspective and energy they will bring to board leadership is truly going to be a gift.

So what about the rest of the board?

Well, that's where YOU come in.

Want to help shape PYTA's future? Want to help us plan our next ACTUAL FOR REAL IN PERSON GATHERING??? (spoiler alert- it's happening. 2024- get ready! i'm going to hug all y'all so extensively )

Another exciting opportunity we will be doing this year is a video highlight reel compilation showing off all the wonderful work you all have been doing this year. All performers will receive a stipend for sharing a video of your work!
