The Janezic Foundation

The Janezic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Nonprofit Organization focused on music education accessibility for kids.

The Janezic Foundation was created in 2023 after Kyle Janezic passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34. Kyle was a vibrant human, with a passion for music that is shared by his family and friends. The Foundation is focused on improving the accessibility of music education to kids through the awarding of grants and scholarships, as well as facilitating cost free rental of musical instruments. We b

elieve strongly that all children should be able to learn about music without the financial burden of having to lease an instrument from a for profit company, and without the hurdle of living in an underprivileged community whose school system cannot afford to have a music program or whose music program is severely lacking in funding. Aside of direct donations from public and private sources, we generate revenue for our cause through benefit concerts of all sizes and genres with attention being payed to creating a high production value experience for our guests. Acoustic pianos, while sounding naturally rich and warm, can be extremely difficult to maintain without proper humidity and temperature control, and require regular tuning which can become expensive. We are thrilled to donate this Yamaha Clavinova CLP-825 Digital Piano to The Mary E. Baker Elementary School in Brockton (replacing a Baldwin acoustic upright that was likely purchased in the 70's), providing students and teachers with a piano that sounds great and will last for years to come without the need to spend a portion of the department budget on its general upkeep.

We are thrilled to announce the donation of seven Orff xylophones/metallophones/glockenspiels and ten sets of mallets to the Arnone Elementary School in Brockton! These instruments will have a direct impact on over 600 students a year! A couple of these items are backordered and we will update with a new post when fulfilled!

"Xylophones are an integral part of music making at the Arnone School. Because of the grant from the Janezic Foundation, the Arnone School has acquired enough xylophones so each student can be an active participant in every music class.

We use the xylophones in a wide variety of ways, including improvisation, composition, music theory, and playing accompaniments. Third and fourth grade students have begun a program called "Xylophone Karate", where they earn belts for every song they learn to play independently on the xylophone, earning all the way to black belt. Kindergarten and first grade students are working on playing simple accompaniments while singing, and second grade students are composing simple melodies using the notes do, re, and mi."

Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and a joyous New Year to all! We’re so grateful for all the artists, educators, and organization leaders we’ve had the privilege of talking and collaborating with. We’ve closed the year with our first benefit concert, and we’re walking into 2026 planning for the next adventure.

Enjoy family, friends, and loved ones, and we’ll see you in 2026!

We had the opportunity to buy books for Brockton Public Schools, which will start the building out of their music libraries. We donated 36 books to be distributed to 12 elementary schools. Trombone Shorty by Troy Andrews, Playing At The Border by Joanna Ho about Yo Yo Ma, and Peace Train by Cat Stevens. These will all be in Brockton elementary schools to jump start young students interest in music, and add more perspective to the stories they tell.

We have a benefit concert on Friday, December 19th at Royale with Moon Taxi. If you're looking for something to do, buy a ticket and come help support more projects like this!

We are thrilled to announce our first benefit concert! On December 19th, 2025, The Janezic Foundation will be taking over Royale Boston to bring you Moon Taxi! Replacing instruments can be very expensive, and waiting for an instrument to be repaired can take away valuable learning time from kids. These brass and woodwind instrument repair kits will help ensure that minor repairs can be done immediately, and at a fraction of the cost, getting them back into the hands of eager students quickly!
