🗽 Remember Paulie?

Paul Veneto, a retired United flight attendant, lost nine crewmates on Flight 175. For years he has pushed an airline beverage cart along the paths of the 9/11 flights so their crews are not forgotten. This year he finished at Ground Zero on the 25th anniversary.

Now he has been invited to tell that story at Rao's in New York this Wednesday.

Here are a few pictures from United Airlines show in Denver. I try my best to prepare before I speak depending on the audience. I've learned that's impossible. It can be a hand shake or just a quick hello to a complete stranger before I step on stage. The only way I can explain it is, the minute I start to speak I automatically feel that person's pain and it paralyzes me. It takes me a moment to overcome the emotions. This has happened to me a few other times in places I thought I would be ok(9-11 Museum at Ground Zero) because I felt the people understood alot more and were closely effected that day. I'm grateful for being able to share the experiences of all the people and communities that I've met along the streets during the pushes. It's definitely a roller-coaster ride of emotions with alot of tears and alot of laughter.

Amazing facility here in Denver at United Airlines Flight training center. The largest in the world with around 88 simulators each one on average cost of at least 30 million. Thank you for letting me fly in the 777 simulator this was a special gift.

When I was with United, because I was based on the east coast I trained at their Chicago training center. So this was my first time ever being at this facility. Before I spoke at the show I was given a tour. The memorial for the crewmembers of United 175 and United 93 was very moving.

Well I can finally let everyone know why I was in Denver.
United Airlines was celebrating 100 years and was having their first ever talent show. Michael Fant a long time employee here at the training center who saw me on the news during the last push contacted me and asked if I would come out and speak and tell the Paulie's Push story. He asked me to keep it a secret because he wanted it to be a surprise for everyone. He said he knew alot of airline employees follow my story. This was such an honor.

Woke up here in Denver this morning and for some reason this picture came to me. This was taken back in 1981. It was my first flight attendant job, World Airways. Over 40 years later and 4 more airline flight attendant jobs ending with United Airlines. So today is pretty special to me because I truly loved this job and probably had more training than most. I couldn't imagine what was to come in 2001. Unfortunately I still can't tell anyone why im here but I will say I'm honored and grateful.
