Hey, Future Educators! We can’t believe that the school year is already almost over! Our LAST General Body Meeting will be this coming Wednesday, April 15th from 6-7 PM in RCOE 124. To celebrate the end of the year, we will be having super fun activities, including a DIY, to help prep for our future classrooms PLUS pizza and drinks! Make sure to RSVP on Engage so that we can make sure there are enough materials for everyone! We hope to see you all there!! 🍎

Hey, future educators! Our Social Justice / Global Education Committee is hosting a Professional Development opportunity on NEXT Monday, March 30th from 5 - 6 pm in RCOE 237. Dr. Chris Osmond will be discussing how to prevent burnout in the teaching profession. We hope to see you there! 🍎
*Note: All education majors are required to have 20 PD credits to graduate.

Our First For Teaching merchandise sale is open NOW through March 31st at 11:59pm! You can place your order using the QR code in this post or the link in our bio. After orders close, we expect around a 2 week turnaround before orders are here. Once they arrive, dates will be sent out for pick-up times.
Don’t live in town or are unable to pick up an order? Don’t fret! We offer SHIPPING (for an additional fee)!! Just indicate when you place your order if you will be picking up or want your order shipped.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! We are excited to see everyone in their First For Teaching merch! Be sure to send the link to all of your friends and family so they can also represent the College of Education!! 🍎

Looking for something to do this Friday night? Come out to support all of the wonderful Art Education students here at App State at their exhibition reception. It will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in Walling Gallery, Wey Hall. There will be fun, interactive activities and art on display by students! You can also dress up in something you have nowhere else to wear!
This event is not associated with the Appalachian Educators Club. We just wanted to let you all know about this wonderful community opportunity! :)

We hope you all had a fun and refreshing spring break, future educators! Now that we are back, our next general body meeting will be THIS Wednesday, March 18th from 6-7PM in RCOE 124. This meeting will also include a mini PD with Paige Sturgill about how to interact with parents and talk with them professionally. We hope to see you there! 🍎

Hey, App Ed! Our next meeting will be this Wednesday, March 4th from 6-7pm in RCOE room 124. There will be a mini PD from Dr. Jones about questioning in the classroom as well as yummy SNACKS and engaging ACTIVITIES. We hope to see you there! 🍎🌸

We’ve already made it through January, App educators! We will be having our next general body meeting (weather allowing ❄️) this coming Wednesday, February 4th from 6 - 7 PM in RCOE 124. This meeting will include a MINI PD that counts as 1/2 of a Professional Development credit. All education majors need at least 20 Professional Development credits to graduate. We hope to see you there! 🍎

They will all take place from 6-7 PM in RCOE 124 on their respective dates.
