Let’s talk about Financial Aid Verification.

If you’ve been selected for verification, don’t panic. Verification is a common part of the financial aid process, and it does not mean you’ve done anything wrong. In fact, up to 30% of FAFSA filers may be selected each year.

Verification simply means your college needs additional documentation to confirm information reported on your FAFSA before financial aid can be awarded.

If you are selected:
✔ Check and read your college email regularly.
✔ Check your financial aid student portal for any outstanding requirements.
✔ Submit requested documents as soon as possible to avoid delays in receiving financial aid.

Your Ayers Counselors are here all summer to help you understand the process, gather the required documents, and complete any verification paperwork.
