The Legacy of Medgar Evers and NAACP Membership Drive

Medgar Evers played a crucial role in the NAACP's membership drive during the 1950s, actively recruiting new members despite the risks involved. His efforts helped to strengthen the civil rights movement in Mississippi by establishing local chapters and organizing community engagement.

In recognition of her outstanding dedication and tireless efforts to strengthen our branch through membership, The Bolivar-Hardeman County NAACP was honored to present our Membership Chair, Mrs. Doris Wooden, with a Medgar Evers commemorative pin and a Medgar Evers Journal.
Mrs. Wooden's leadership, passion, and commitment to advancing the mission of the NAACP have made a lasting impact on our branch and our community. We sincerely thank her for her service and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.
"The work of justice continues because of dedicated leaders who are willing to serve."

Congratulations, Mrs. Doris Wooden, and thank you for helping us build a stronger NAACP, one member at a time.

Congratulations 👏
