Summer is already off to a great start! 🌞💕

We've been having so much fun with our students, enjoying activities, making memories, and sharing plenty of smiles along the way.

Last week, our students kicked off the Green Guardians Program with a team-building visit to Camp Fire Illinois Prairie. Through activities led by Julie and Kurt, students had the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build new relationships.

A special thank you to The Conservation Foundation and everyone involved in helping make this program possible. Over the next six weeks, students will explore environmental awareness, learn about environmental career pathways, and develop valuable leadership skills.

One of the most rewarding parts of the day was watching students become more engaged with one another as the experience unfolded. Seeing conversations, laughter, and connections grow throughout the day was truly transformational to witness.

We are grateful for the opportunity to provide experiences like this that help our youth build confidence, community, and skills for the future.😀🩵🌎

Our students recently participated in a meaningful lesson focused on mental health awareness, self care, and the importance of supporting one another. Creating safe spaces for youth people to learn, talk, openly, and grow is important.

Be kind to yourself, check in on others, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Together, we can help end the stigma and create a more supportive community. 💚
