Amendment 5 is on the ballot this August. Please learn more about this amendment, which, if passed, will cause massive cuts to public education. This amendment will further place burdens on families, with the cost of everything being higher.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, CME PTA pauses to remember and honor the heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we wrap up another incredible year at CME, we want to wish all of our Cougar families a summer filled with laughter, adventures, rest, and memories made together. ☀️💙

To our amazing students, teachers, staff, and families, thank you for making this school year so special. CME is more than just a school, it’s a community where kindness, support, and connection shine every single day.

And to our wonderful 5th graders… congratulations! 🎓🐾 We are so proud of each of you as you take this exciting next step into middle school. While we will miss seeing your faces in the halls of CME, we know you are going to do amazing things. Always remember where you started and know you will forever be part of the Cougar family.

Last Day of School Reminder:

The last day of school is Friday, May 22, and it will be an early release day. Our School and Nutritional Services staff will serve sack lunches* before students are dismissed for the day. Bus riders will ride their assigned bus home. Prime Time after-school care will be available for students enrolled in the program.

🌟 CME PTA is bursting with pride for our amazing Reflections participants! 🌟

This year’s Missouri PTA 2026 Reflections Showcase was held at Blue Springs High School on May 10th, celebrating the theme “I Belong.”

We’re excited to recognize these outstanding CME students who advanced to the state level with their creative entries:
