Sad news. Hoss is back with us again, and this one hurts.
He is such a good boy — big-hearted, brilliant, slightly mischievous, and still waiting for the person who truly understands him.
Hoss has been adopted and returned more than once, but Hoss is not a bad dog. He is an incredibly smart, deeply loving dog who loves his people HARD. He bonds closely and wants nothing more than to be right beside his person.
That big love comes with some challenges. Hoss struggles with separation anxiety and doesn’t do well being left alone for long periods. He is also ridiculously smart — as in, “I figured out how to open the doorknob and take myself for a walk” smart. He needs a secure home and someone willing to stay one step ahead of that clever brain.
When he is bored or anxious, he can be destructive, but give this boy puzzle toys, durable chews, enrichment, exercise, and something to keep his mind busy, and he does so much better.
Hoss loves playing with other dogs. He is goofy, affectionate, entertaining, loyal, and absolutely full of personality.
He doesn’t need someone expecting a perfect dog. He needs someone patient, consistent, and committed. Someone who understands that some dogs need a little more help learning how to feel safe and secure.
More than anything, Hoss needs someone who will look at him and say:
“We’re going to figure this out together.”
Please share Hoss. His person has to be out there somewhere please share and help us find Hoss the big boss a home.

Happy Gotcha Day, Keepler! 🐾
These wonderful people drove 5 hours just to come meet some of our little dogs, not even knowing if they would be going home with one.
They met Phoebe first, who came bouncing out with all the wild, goofy energy she could possibly pack into one tiny body. 😂
Then came Keepler.
And something changed.
Keepler walked over to Mary, looked up at her, and just stared. She seemed completely mesmerized by her voice, like she already knew, “That’s my momma.”
There was no big production. No convincing. No trying to make the connection happen.
She just knew.
And honestly, looking at this picture of Keepler gazing at Mary says everything we could ever write.
Happy Gotcha Day, sweet girl. You found your people!!

Happy Gotcha Day to Misty!! 🐾❤️
This girl is a survivor. Misty came to us all the way from Texas after living through a fire, and today her story gets a beautiful new chapter.
No more looking back, sweet girl. From here on out, it’s happy days, freedom, love, adventures, and plenty of running with your new paw-rents.
Misty, we hope you have the very best life ever. You’ve survived the hard part — now go enjoy every minute of the good stuff.
