Camp Kidwell

Camp Kidwell To provide extraordinary camping opportunities for youth and to be a resource to youth, families, 4-H, schools, groups and organizations throughout the region.

Summer Camp and retreat facility located in Southwest Michigan, near Bloomingdale, Michigan on Eagle lake. We provide traditional summer camping programs for children ages 4 to 16. We offer both resident and day camp programs that feature swimming, horseback riding, archery, canoeing, team building, drama, nature, sports and games, arts and crafts and so much more. We also offer school programming, community events, facility rentals for family reunions, church gatherings and so much more!

Last week was staff training and they pick out themes for the summer!! Week 1 is going to be COLOR week. From color themed cabins to capture the flag and color scavenger hunts, it's going to be an EPIC week!!

We Opened up 2 more spots for HORSE CAMP!! Can you believe Summer Camp starts in TEN DAYS?!?! 🥳🤩🐴

All overnight and senior day campers get to spend a little time with the horses during their stay. But the Horse Crazy Campers get to spend most of their day EVERYDAY with the horses!!

CAMP IS FUN!!
Staff have a lot to learn this week. A lot of policies and procedures. Cleaning lists. Paperwork. There is responsibility that comes with being a camp counselor.... but there's also time for FUN!!

Hiring... what we still need.
Lifeguards : 18+ we will arrange training if someone needs their certification. Needs to already be comfortable and efficient in water skills.
Horse assistant : Needs to be comfortable around horses. Able to tack up a horse on their own and be able to explain basic horse skills. 18+
Archery Instructor : 18+ Must have basic archery skills. Willing to teach kids. We can help you get the certification you need.
Rec instructor : 18+ Sports and Games! Daily sessions with the Kiddos. Have a plan for games and activities.
Boys counselors 16+ would prefer 18+ Cabin counselor. Could combine with any of the program staff mentioned above.

Hours : Summer camp weeks. Sunday 3p - Friday. 6 weeks. Live on campus. We provide housing and all meals. Camp starts June 21.
