As we prepare for this year's Memorial Day observances, take a look back at last year's Memorial Day parade in the Village of Beverly Hills. The parade brought the community together to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, with patriotic displays, marching bands, local organizations, veterans, and families lining the streets in remembrance and celebration.

We are honored to help bring this important community tradition to residents through our broadcast coverage and look forward to continuing the tradition again this year as we remember and honor our nation's heroes together.

In a new episode of Eye on Oakland, host Chuck Moss interviews Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Michael Warren for Michigan Supreme Court about his new book, The Revolutionary Words That Forged America: The Definitive Guide to the Declaration of Independence. Judge Warren explains the Declaration’s true meaning, its line‑by‑line significance, and why its principles—unalienable rights, limited government, equality, and the purpose of government—remain revolutionary today. He shares insights on Jefferson’s drafting process, the grievances against the king, and how the Declaration provides the philosophical foundation for the Constitution and American liberty.

The conversation also explores Warren’s lifelong passion for civic education, the creation of Patriot Week, and his run for the Michigan Supreme Court. He emphasizes the importance of understanding America’s founding ideals to preserve freedom, maintain the rule of law, and remain united in a polarized era.
