Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run

Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run Half Marathon, 5K, 1 Mile Walk and Kids Fun Run Losing Mathias has sparked in us a passion to help families that struggle with the difficulties of epilepsy.

The Reason: The Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run is in memory of our little chunky monkey, Mathias, who lost his battle with epilepsy at 7 months. The Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run is one way that we are able to keep fighting for what Mathias so de

sperately needed, an answer. All proceeds benefit pediatric epilepsy research. Please join us this November to "Race for an Answer"

What an incredible day! The Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run wouldn't be possible without every single one of you.

Thank you to the 270 participants who laced up and ran with us!

41 Half Marathon finishers
170 5K finishers
14 1-Mile Walk participants
45 Kids Run participants

Thank you to our 62 race day volunteers and all the behind-the-scenes helpers who made this happen. Thank you to our 47 incredible sponsors who keep this race alive.

And something really special—2 of the doctors and their families, who we have met along this journey, made their way down from Madison to run with us yesterday. That means so much to us!

Chunky Monkey #12 is in the books 💜 I would like to say to each of the participants, the volunteers, and my sponsors- your support and presence mean the world to me. Easy to say on social media, I know, but this event has everything to do with those that show up, in so many ways. Please know I treasure the outpouring of love 💜

These two gentlemen in the picture are a small number of doctors and their families from AFCH that come to the Chunky Monkey. Talking with Dr. Hsu and Dr. Knox fills my heart with hope. They talked with both Dan and I about the gains they are making with medications with newborns.
