WHERE: Drop off and pick up at Pierce County 4-H office, transportation is provided to SW on Jekyll
COST: $50.00- includes ticket, transportation, and lunch - Free for Pierce County DPA participants

State 4-H Council is the constitutional meeting of the Georgia 4-H Council and will include the election of Georgia 4-H State Officers, Iron Clover Competition, and training for youth and adults throughout the weekend!

COST: $130 due JUNE 1st

Bacon County 4-H will be hosting Levels I and II Certified Teen Leader Training on Tuesday, May 26th (9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) at the Bacon County Extension 4-H Office. This training is open to all 7th-12th graders. In this training you will learn what it means to be a leader, how to lead a group of younger youth, and how to handle conflict when it arises. Level I training is required for any 4-H’er who wants to serve as teen leader for any COUNTY event. Level II training required for any 4-H’er who wants to serve as teen leader for any DISTRICT or STATE event.

Cost is $10. This includes your lunch and materials.

Are you passionate about youth development? Do you thrive working with students? Pierce County is on the hunt for a new 4-H Program Assistant to help deliver 4-H programming. We are looking for someone who is organized, student-oriented, and ready to jump in and help grow our 4-H program.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct in‐school club meetings and deliver prepared curriculums that meet state guidelines
• Recruit students to become involved in 4‐H educational programs
• Support students with their 4 H projects and competitions
• Attend and participate in weekend events and service activities
• Use local mass media to publicize 4‐H events and accomplishments.

Qualifications & Skills
• Technical training or a 2 year degree (or equivalent)
• Informal or formal teaching experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with diverse youth and adults
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment

This role includes a mix of office work, field activities, and driving. If you love working with young people and making a difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you.
