If you would like to take a leadership role in 4-H,apply to be on the Pierce County 4-H Board. You must be a Pierce County 4-H'er in 7-12th Grade During the 2026-2027 school year.
Make sure you review the requirements before applying.

!!Tomorrow 10-11am Homeschool Meeting!!

Homeschool 4-H Club will start back in September!!

We’ll meet at the 4-H office (705 College Ave.) on the 1st Friday of each month from 10-11 am.
We will have a group for K-5th and 6-12th.

!!!ATTENTION ALL 7TH-12TH GRADE 4-H'ERS!!!

District Project Achievement (DPA) will be here before we know it.
DPA is an opportunity to showcase you hard work all year long in your portfolio. Teach others about your passion in your project. It is also a great public speaking experience in your demonstration.

Jr./Sr. DPA takes place at Rock Eagle 4-H Center, January 29-31, 2027.
All DPA participants are required to attend 3 portfolio days and 2 Presentation days to work on their project.

!!!Okefenokee AG Fair Mini Booth!!!

Fair season is rapidly approaching, and it is never too late to create a fair booth display. Share what you know or what you are passionate about.

What is a Mini Booth??? It is an exhibit that fits into a wooden triangle display area on a topic that interests you.

This is a great opportunity for JR. and SR. 4-H'ers to add to your portfolio.

It may be 90 degrees outside, but the 4-H Holiday Card Contest is back again with a TOP PRIZE OF $100!! The Georgia 4-H Foundation is challenging all K-12 students to design a creative and colorful 4-H December holiday card.

Rules:
- must be ORIGINAL drawing on an 8.5 x 5.5 inch (or 5.5 x 8.5 inch) sheet of white, unlined paper
- must somehow include 4-H in the theme
- must be turned in or scanned into the Pierce County 4-H Office before TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th (705 College Ave. Blackshear, GA or email to [email protected])

!!!!!CALLING ALL 4th-12th GRADE STUDENTS!!!!!

Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging will be here before we know it. We will have our first practice on October 5th, 2026 from 3:45-5pm. This is open to all Pierce County Students 4th-12th grade. Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays, from October 5th-November 4th.

Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging is a competitive judging contest where 4th - 12th grade 4-H’ers learn about cotton as an agriculture commodity in our state as well as to promote cotton through commercials or advertisements. 4-H’ers gain skills in making rational decisions when purchasing goods and services while maximizing resources. This year we will concentrate on Jackets, Televisions, Fast Food, and Music Streaming Plans.

🎨Pierce 4-H Art Club 🧶

When: Monday, August 31 (that’s next monday!!) after school – 5 p.m.
Who: 7-12th Graders
Where: 4-H Extension office, 705 College Avenue, Blackshear, GA 31516. Need a ride? Take bus 2** (**parent must send a note to the school)
What to bring: A friend!! Free snacks/drinks + supplies will be provided, no previous skill/ knowledge required
Membership dues, future meeting dates, activities/contents will be discussed at the meeting.

4-H Day at the National Fair will be here before we know it. This event will be Friday, October 16, 2026. Deadline to sign up for this event will be September 11, 2026. Spots are limited so please come to the office to sign up if you are interested in attending this event.

WHO: 9th-12th Graders
WHEN: October 16th 8:30am-11pm
COST: $50 FOOD NOT INCLUDED (Includes transportation, ticket, and rides)
