Pierce County Schools are rocking it! Amazing teachers, supportive administrators, caring staff and wonderful students! How could we ask for more?!! 💙

Pierce County Schools ranked above the state average in 11 of 12 categories as listed by the 2026 Milestone EOC (winter & Spring) report released today.

Pierce County also ranked 1st in nine of those categories and 2nd in the other two, among the eight counties in Okefenokee RESA.

Congratulations!!!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Storybook Beginnings such a special day!

We were amazed by the creativity, time, and heart that our community partners poured into decorating their booths. Every storybook theme, interactive activity, and welcoming smile helped create a magical experience for children and families throughout the day.

We’d like to extend a special congratulations to Babies Can’t Wait DPH SEHD, our First Place Best Decorated Booth winner! Their beautiful under water display captured the spirit of magic we hoped for with the Inaugural Storybook Beginnings and created a fun, engaging space for families to enjoy.

Thank you to every partner organization, volunteer, reader, sponsor, vendor and family who joined us. Because of you, Storybook Beginnings was filled with books, laughter, learning, and community. Together, we’re helping children build a lifelong love of reading, one story at a time. ❤️📖

We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

Storybook Beginnings had just that, an amazing beginning to what we hope will be an annual event!

Our final headcount 203 people! Wow!

And everyone who helped plan and organize, who let us use their building, who donated time, materials, and food, who showed up on a Saturday to serve our families, who cooked, and played, read and made goodies, packed bags, bought everything from diapers to pack and plays, who brought so so so many supplies, and just loved on a lot mommas, daddies, babies, grandparents, etc. we could never thank you enough… no seriously, without you we wouldn’t have been able to do this!

We are in awe of how awesome today was! We can’t wait until next year!
