☀The summer heat has arrived and we need your help! ☀
CHR is looking for summer clothing donations as many of our participants are exposed to the heat and outside elements.

Here are the ways you can donate summer clothing items:
💠 drop-off on Mondays and Tuesdays at 1556 S. Naco Hwy, Bldg B, Bisbee, AZ 85603 between the hours of 9am - 5pm.

Dan, our talented kitchen coordinator, and his team of dedicated volunteers create healthy, well-rounded and appetizing meals for our participants! Thanks to continuing partnerships with the Local Co-op and Echoing Hope , we are grateful to include locally sourced ingredients 💚

Here are last weeks creations:
TUESDAY: baked pasta with meat sauce, roasted squash, sautéed corn + zucchini (courtesy of 💖), and green salad

WEDNESDAY: bbq pork sandwich with scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, and green salad

FRIDAY: tuna salad on a brioche bun with potato salad, cucumber salad, and mac 'n cheese

🏳‍🌈🌈We're stoked to celebrate Pride 2026 with you this year!🌈🏳‍🌈

CHR will be tabling at Bisbee Pride in Grassy Park on the east side of the mining museum on Saturday, June 20th, and we'd love for you to stop by and say hey! Our team will be there to answer questions, share resources, and connect with other orgs and folks in our incredible community.

We'll have our tshirts, hoodies, stickers and our erotic line along with supplies, education materials, and info on our services! Everyone is welcome at CHR as we are an inclusive space for all, and we can't wait to see you there 💛

At the end of March, the CHR team stepped away from our day-to-day work for our annual staff retreat at the Essence of Tranquility in Safford, AZ. Between hot springs, shared meals, plenty of laughter, and meaningful conversations, we were reminded that rest, joy, and connection are essential to sustaining this work. We left feeling refreshed, grounded, and grateful for the time to reconnect with ourselves and one another. 💙

Dan reflects on how mental health, substance use, and housing all intersect on the streets of Cochise County. From folks who have been traumatized by systems that were supposed to help them to neighbors priced out of housing on fixed incomes, he describes the quiet realities behind “survival mode” and why compassionate, non-punitive support is so crucial.

• 53 new participants welcomed
• 163 referrals to other services
• 2,931 basic needs kits distributed
• 1,401 naloxone doses distributed
• 13 overdose reversals reported
• 36 overdose prevention trainings
• 1,900 syringes safely disposed

Peer Navigation Impact:
• 46 peer navigation engagements
• 67 peer navigation referrals
• 32 justice advocacy supports
• 8,876 lbs of pantry items distributed
• 1,472 meals served
