Sometimes, a little time with an animal can make a big difference. 🐴❤️
A new study from UC Davis found that spending just three minutes with miniature horses and donkeys helped improve teens’ moods, reducing feelings of sadness, loneliness, and nervousness. Even more interesting? Teens who recognized and responded to the animals’ body language experienced greater emotional benefits. It’s a beautiful reminder that these connections go both ways.
At On Golden Rescue, we see firsthand how special the bond between humans and animals can be. While our mission is to provide rescued animals with the love, care, and peaceful retirement they deserve, they have a pretty amazing way of giving something back to us, too.
Just ask Buckaroo, who recently shared a sweet moment with a teenage visitor! Sometimes, the smallest moments make the biggest difference.
Looking for a little quality animal time with your teen? Come meet our minis and other rescued residents! Schedule a tour and experience the special connection between humans and animals for yourself.
