Backyard burning is open as of today 10/10/2025 with a valid burn permit which can be obtained at www.clatskaniefire.org under the burn permit tab or stopping in at our main station located at 280 SE 3rd St in Clatskanie. Also please remember to always check if it is a burn day prior to burning on our website or calling our burn line 503 728 2131. Thank You and stay safe everyone

Today kicks off Fire Prevention week!! ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS. 1. Do you have smoke detectors in your home? (that have batteries in them and work) 2. Do you have an escape plan for your home? 3. Do you practice your escape plan once a month as recommended? We will be at Clatskanie grade school starting tomorrow 9/7 parents watch for a sheet we send home!! Stay safe everyone

City of Clatskanie, you have outdone yourselves over the weekend we did our "Fill The Boot" for MDA and with your generosity we raised $4,235.47 thank you so much!!!!!! We couldn't have done it without you, and we appreciate you!!! See you next year
