Looking for some family-friendly Halloween fun? Ricky Rainbow Beard is bringing THE MONSTER SHOW to The Gem on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 pm!

Get ready for an afternoon of puppets, music, dancing, games, and plenty of silliness as Ricky explores what it really means to be a monster. Can you tell a monster just by looking? Could you become one yourself?

Tonight at 6:00 pm we're screening the last film in the Julie Christie Film Series. Shampoo, released in 1975 starring Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, Goldie Hawn, Lee Grant, Jack Warden, and Tony Bill, as well as Carrie Fisher in her film debut.

Shampoo follows a promiscuous Los Angeles hairdresser on Election Day 1968, as he juggles his relationships with several women. The film is a satire focusing on the theme of sexual politics and late-1960s social mores.

This series is Dedicated to the memory of Linda Gamble, whose volunteerism, intelligence, and patience were vital to The Gem’s early success.

Listen to your friendly neighborhood crow perched atop The Gem and come on out to the Artists In Motion Film Festival tonight at 6:00pm!

Kale Churchill will play live piano music in the lobby from 5:00 to 6:00.

Then at 6:00 pm we'll open the festival with a live dance performance followed by the film festival and Q&A with a few of the filmmakers.
