Bethel Pride is TOMORROW 6/13!

Join BAAM at The Gem on Saturday, June 13th for an afternoon and evening of community, creativity, and celebration.

4:00–6:00 PM – Explore local artists and community organizations in the lobby and live music around 5:30. Food available for purchase. All ages welcome.

6:00 PM – Family-friendly drag performance featuring Chartreuse Money and other talented Maine queens. All ages welcome.

7:30 PM – Screening of Stop! That! Train! featuring RuPaul and fan-favorite queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Rated R, 18+ only.

Tickets are Pay What You Can (suggested donation $10/show), with a portion of proceeds benefiting OUT Maine.

We’re thrilled to announce that legendary reggae pioneers Black Uhuru Official are coming to Bethel!

Join us Wednesday, June 24 at 7:00 pm for an unforgettable night with one of the most influential and internationally recognized reggae bands of all time. For more than 50 years, Black Uhuru has helped define roots reggae, earned the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, and brought their iconic sound to audiences around the world.

Still led by founder Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, the band continues to deliver the powerful rhythms, deep basslines, and timeless songs that made them legends. We feel incredibly lucky to welcome this world-renowned group to Bethel!

Weather permitting, the show will take place on The Gem’s outdoor stage. In case of rain, the performance will move indoors to Theater 1.

Bethel Pride returns to The Gem this Saturday, June 13th!

Join us from 4:00–6:00 pm to support local artists, connect with community organizations, and celebrate Pride together.

Local artists include S List Pottery, YOUniquely MEcycled, Becca Hoskins Art, and Printing Perspective.

Community organizations include OUT Maine, Queerly ME, EqualityMaine, Larry Labonte Recovery Center, River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, and SAPARS.

Stick around for a family-friendly drag performance at 6:00 pm featuring the fabulous Chartreuse Queen and more incredible performers! Then cap off the evening with a screening of Stop! That! Train! at 7:30 pm (18+ only).

We're kicking off our Spring Into Art series this Saturday, June 6, at the Bethel Library Association!

Join us from 10:00–11:30 AM for a fun morning of collage-making and bookmark creation as we get ready for the Library's Summer Reading Program.

This creative activity is FREE and open to all young artists. We can't wait to make art with you!
