Tomorrow presents an opportunity to spend a fun day with our children, as our their school hosts a special event. We'll be back again on Thursday from 10-2. Today is National Foster Care Day.

And behind that title…
are real kids living real stories.

Kids who had to grow up too fast.
Kids who pack their lives into trash bags.
Kids who don’t know where they’ll sleep next… or who they’ll be with.

It’s not just “a system.”
It’s missed birthdays.
New schools.
Goodbyes they didn’t choose.

But it’s also this,
People who open their homes anyway.
Who show up.
Who love without knowing how long they’ll have them.

Foster care isn’t just about saving kids.
It’s about giving them stability, safety, and a chance.

So today,
pay attention.
Support it.
Speak up.

Because every child deserves more than survival.

Garrett’s Place had the honor of getting to serve with the men and women of the Bessemer VFW and VFW Auxiliary, It was amazing working together and awesome fellowship. They have become family. We pray for one another, praise God for blessing and just catch up every time we see one another. They bless us every year for their day of service. Always such a blessing. As Garrett's Place continues to strive to meet foster kids needs, we're headed for significant growth in our ministry while remaining steadfast in our commitment to tenderly care for the hearts of our children. Today, we had the privilege of extending love and support to four remarkable young lives. I'm profoundly thankful for the dedication of our community to loving and empowering our kids, bringing healing and hope to those who need it most. Being part of their journey is a blessing to my heart. It shows how the power of compassion and kindness and the love of Jesus through his people can change the most broken hearted. We successfully met the basic needs of these children, providing suitcases, clothing, shoes, and essential toiletries, and even furnished a toddler bed and mattress for one little one, covering all their needs and bringing immense joy to my heart!
