We’re back from a great week at the 50th NWTF National Convention! Some of our committee members had the pleasure of attending the sport show, seminars, and other events with the NWTF. The highlight was Friday night’s Awards Gala, where Catawba River Cutters were honored with the L.A. Dixon Memorial Award for Outstanding Chapter and the Grand Slam Club for our 2025 Hunting Heritage Banquet. Thanks to your help, we were able to raise over $50,000 to support the wild turkey and more through wildlife conservation! After the 2025 banquet, our chapter also officially reached the Quarter Million Dollar Club for surpassing $250,000 in cumulative fundraising for NWTF. We are so grateful for your support, and are excited to continue making an impact together!

What a night at our 2026 Hunting Heritage Banquet last night! We would like to thank all of our sponsors, donors, and attendees for your support of our chapter and our cause. None of this would be possible without you! All of our committee members worked hard to prepare for this event, and we are so lucky to have a dedicated group of individuals on our team.

Where does your money go? Read below to find out! A HUGE accomplishment for NC!

NWTF North Carolina and its partners are gearing up to invest more than $3.5 million in conservation across the Tar Heel State next year — a powerful example of what dedicated volunteers and strong partnerships can achieve.

Through the Hunting Heritage Super Fund, the North Carolina NWTF State Chapter approved nearly $300,000 for habitat conservation and wild turkey research, which will be leveraged with over $3.2 million in partner and grant funding. These investments will expand public access, improve thousands of acres of habitat and advance cutting-edge turkey research.

From expanding Caswell Game Land by 636 acres to prescribed fire, invasive species control, wildlife openings and genetic research, this work will benefit wild turkeys, other wildlife and hunters for generations to come.

This is conservation at scale — powered by volunteers and built for the future of the resource.
