Friday night at Dunwalke Preserve felt like something out of a dream. As the sun set over the Somerset Hills, we gathered under the stars for a truly special America 250 celebration with AJ Lee & Blue Summit. The music, the setting, and the energy made it a night we won’t soon forget.

Music in the Somerset Hills is proud to announce Ivan Dean Denissov as the 2026 $5,000 MISH Young Musicians Scholarship recipient.

A bass vocalist, composer, and Juilliard Pre-College student, Ivan was selected from over 20 applicants across New Jersey for his exceptional artistry, technical command, and deeply rooted sense of purpose.

From Bach and Brahms to jazz standards, Ivan’s performances are marked not only by musical excellence, but by a commitment to connection. In his application, he shared a moment performing at a nursing home where a resident began to dance with joy—an experience that continues to shape his belief that music should uplift, heal, and bring people together.

This fall, Ivan will attend Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music.

We are honored to support this remarkable young artist as he continues his journey.

Summer Voices Day Camp returns July 27–30, 2026 at St. Bernard’s Episcopal Church in Bernardsville, NJ. Students entering grades 2–12 will spend four mornings making music, building confidence, and having fun with peers who love to sing as much as they do.
