At our rec meeting we have decided to get rid of the rec Facebook group and keep just the rec page. The group will be deleted on Friday. Please follow us on the page.
We have noticed other groups in our area that have multiple groups and pages and it is hard to figure out which one to navigate to.
We are trying to streamline our communication.
If you don’t do Facebook we also have the band app where we also post our event.

We will be doing a monthly newsletter to help communicate our events.
Newsletters will be done by email,band app and Facebook and also thru BES.

Here is some upcoming information.
Coaches will be getting their soccer team rosters later today.

Soccer practices start next week.

Mistletoe Market Craft Fair booths goes live next week.

1st soccer games for travel teams Saturday, September 12th.

Open house at BES. Sept 24th.

Basketball sign ups open Oct 1st.

Cheerleading registration opens Oct 1st.

Scarecrow in the Park Oct 17-18.
Parade is on Saturday. All soccer kids will be in the parade. More details to come when the event gets closer.

Soccer kickoff was a hit. Thank you everyone for coming out tonight. All the athletes seemed pumped for the up coming season.

If anyone would like to help coach please reach out to Jenn Stennes.
It does help having 2 coaches.

All travel teams need cleats and shin guards.
Tiny tots can use sneakers. Shin guards are optional at that level.

Games start Saturday, Sept 12th
Peewee and Seniors play at 9am
Junior teams play at 10am

Soccer jamboree is Oct 31st
Games are played in Vernon Vt, Brattleboro VT, Hinsdale NH, Wi******er NH, Erving, Gill, Montague, Greenfield, and Northfield.
Games are 1 hour long except for jamboree.

Kickoff to soccer is Wednesday, Aug 19th 5:30-6:30 at Pratt field
Teams do not get announced until after this event. We have a lot of moving parts with soccer. This has been the process for years.

This includes:
4 levels of soccer teams
Multiple teams in divisions
Setting up coaches
Coaches having practice slots
Making sure kids can play on certain teams due to scheduling
Trying to have siblings follow certain teams so it is easier on families.

The rec dept works hard to make sure everything runs smoothly.

First game starts Sept 12th.
Jamboree is Oct 31st

There will be a meeting at kickoff for families at 5:30 when the athletes are playing to go over expectations of the season, what to expect, how you can volunteer for the snack shack, and for VIP parking for the jamboree.

Reminder today is August 12th deadline to register for our fall soccer program. Please register online.
We will be forming teams and ordering shirts.
Don’t miss out.
Peewee grades 1-2
Juniors grades 3-4
Seniors grades 5-6
They practice 2 times a week and games are on Saturdays.
Tiny tots play 1 time per week.

Kickoff event is Aug 19th at Pratt Field 5:30-6:30
