Get to Know Firefighter Jaedyn Hodson 🚒

Jaedyn was born in Clifton, Colorado, in 2000 and moved to Strasburg in 2009. His fire service journey began when he graduated from the Bennett-Watkins Fire Academy in 2020. In 2022, he was recognized as Volunteer Firefighter of the Year, and in 2024 he was hired on full time.

Since becoming a career firefighter, Jaedyn has continued working through apparatus clearances and earning certifications that support our district and the communities we serve. In 2026, he cleared on Quint 91.

Jaedyn is currently assigned to Station 91 on C Shift, where he serves as an engineer on the Quint. Around the station, you can usually find him working out, studying for his next test, or continuing to build his skills. He is currently working toward his ARFF and Driver/Operator Pumper certifications.

Outside of the firehouse, Jaedyn married his wife in 2023, and they welcomed their son in 2025.

We’re proud of everything Jaedyn has accomplished so far and look forward to seeing where his continued dedication and hard work take him next.

🚒 One of our favorite things to do is show the kiddos around the fire trucks when we have a little downtime!

If you see our crews hanging around the station, washing the rigs, or near the trucks and we aren’t tied up on a call or training, come say hi! 👋

If we have the time, we’d love to show you around, answer some questions, and let the kids check out some of the fun things our fire trucks can do.

We love getting to spend time with our community and future firefighters! ❤️🔥

🚨Update 🚨road is reopened vehicle is on the shoulder 🚨

I-70 westbound near the 295 is currently reduced to one lane due to a semi-truck fire.

Please use caution in the area, expect delays, and give emergency crews plenty of room to work.

We will provide an update when the roadway has fully reopened.
