Help us welcome Queen Peyton! 👑

At our final meeting of this club year we crowned Peyton B. as our Omaha Czech/Slovak Cultural Club's 2026-2027 Queen. Her mom represented our club in 1987, making Peyton and Christine our first mother-daughter pair of queens in club history!

Peyton is excited to learn more about her ancestry, design her own kroj, and attend Czech festivals as she represents our club. Congratulations, Queen Peyton!

Final meeting of our club year is TODAY at 12:30 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ralston. See you there!

🎵 Although it may seem that folk songs belong to the past, in Czechia they are still very much alive. They are sung at celebrations, feasts, harvest festivals, and family gatherings. Each region has its own melodies and its own stories, from lyrical love ballads to cheerful drinking songs.

As the United States marks 250 years of independence in 2026, the Embassy of the Czech Republic invites you to help celebrate the enduring friendship between Czechs and Americans through photography.

• Czech-American communities across states like Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, Florida, and beyond
• Czech heritage in America today: architecture, food & drink, music, language, fashion, organizations, inventions, and everyday life

Selected photos will be featured on the Embassy’s website and social media.
