The tornado impacted area of Welch Street between Richard Street and the dead end, Albert Circle, and Duluth Trading Company property is RESTRICTED to residents (and their INVITED guests) and authorized contractors until Monday, June 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The road closed barricades remain in place; do not go around these barricades. Persons in violation will be cited and removed from the area.

The "thank yous" for this week are many. Belleville - you came together and cared for one another. We couldn't be more proud to call this place home. We couldn't be more grateful that no one was seriously hurt in the tornado or during the ensuing clean-up. To all the families affected: we are all here, thinking of you (with our work gloves on and ready to go)! We are Belleville strong.

Our community has come together and met the moment. The US National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan Wisconsin has officially determined the Belleville community was hit by an EF-1 tornado Wednesday evening. This picture was among the first taken of the damage. This quick hitting storm could have been so much worse. We are grateful. We are Belleville strong.

We just completed a storm survey of the Village of Belleville, Wisconsin and Town of Montrose with a meteorologist from the local office of the US National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan Wisconsin. Seeing firsthand the fury of what a few minutes of Mother Nature can do makes us even more grateful that all of our neighbors are safe today. National Weather will issue an official storm assessment later today. Our community continues to come together and help one another. We are fortunate to call Belleville home!

Again, please avoid the area north of town as our crews from Belleville WI Volunteer Fire Department New Glarus Fire Department and Verona (WI) Fire Department are working.

The north side of Belleville was hit by a tornado within the last hour. We are on site along with Belleville WI Volunteer Fire Department and New Glarus Fire Department. We asking that everyone please stay out of the area so that emergency crews can work and access the site.

For all media- please gather at the Belleville EMS Station - 480 River Street for a press briefing later this evening.

Learning together so we can explore new ways to work better together! We worked side by side with the Belleville WI Volunteer Fire Department Monday evening - rehearsing what we would do in a car crash with multiple victims. We were so fortunate to be joined by UW Health’s very own Frank Loyo - who added a very realistic aspect to an already difficult scenario. New collaborations that benefit our communities!
