In the heart of Western Massachusetts, Belchertown is quietly redefining what it means to be rural—radically rural.

And there's art across the street, too!

Be a turtle Hero!

Slow down driving the dirt road to Foley Field. There's wildlife of all kinds active and moving around.

If you see a turtle - or snake or bird - trying to cross the road and can safely assist, use cardboard or a piece of clothing to urge it in the direction it was facing. Only pick it up if you've been trained how to safely do so.

This gal lost her life to the wheels of a vehicle 😥
but she didn't have to.
We can only hope that she was on her way back from laying eggs, and that her little ones survive.
