Our latest workshop is for the gamers 👾 we’re making stained glass Rupees: jewels from the Legend of Zelda video game series 💎

As always, host Deke Deke Cameron guides you through the whole process: lead came construction, soldering skills, and tricks of the trade 🤡 make your choice of a suncatcher ☀️ or a garden stake 🪴Deke will have a wide variety of color options for you too 🟥🟧🟨🟩🟦🟪

Maybe you’re a Zelda fan 🎮 maybe you just like shiny gemstones! 💎 everyone is welcome to join 🤩there’s two sessions available so you can pick the time and place that works for you 🚘

Think collage combined with storytelling ✂️📖 Guest artist Susan Du came all the way from Canada to bring this free community event to Bee Cave 🇨🇦🐝

Starting from natural materials (🌿like leaves and natural textures🪾) and everyday objects (like fabrics, threads 🧵, fruits🍓, and found textures 🧱), participants will layer imprinting, painting and collage techniques to make art that reflects personal, meaningful stories 🪞💭

Explore different materials and observe the interaction between body, material, and lived experience ☮️ Trust the process: this class is designed to be intuitive so you can go with the flow and follow where the artwork takes you. 🧘

Do you also have a collection of miscellaneous sentimental treasures? 💌 Attendees are welcome to bring letters, fabric, small trinkets, photos etc to make their pieces more personal 🎞️📝🗝️
