July 9 Joel leaves for Arusha. Our focus on this trip is to bless the Special Needs kids in Arusha’s public schools and the beautiful children of “Safe Home”. Thank you for the generous response to raise money to buy a much-needed van for the special-needs kids. To date you, our African Moons partners, have generously given almost $14,000. Just $11,000 more to reach the goal of $25,000! We are well on our way to the joy of presenting a van to Yuster and Simon Njau when we go to Arusha in November.

Mudhir and Mom are home - "We thank God so much! Mudhir has been discharged from the hospital and he's doing well at home. He continuing his medication. He will still need regular checkups at the Hydrocephalus Clinic to monitor his progress. Your prayers are keeping him going."

MUDHIR UPDATE: Following a hydrocephalus shunt procedure, brain swelling typically peaks within 24 to 72 hours and noticeably improves within 1 to 2 weeks. The shunt is designed to slowly and continually drain excess fluid, so the brain and surrounding tissues can take several weeks or even months to fully settle and adjust to the new pressure levels. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS FOR MUDHIR!

JUST IN! Mudhir's surgery is DONE and it went well! It was 4 long hours but the doctors are happy with how it went. He's resting now and his mom is so grateful for every prayer. Please keep praying for smooth recovery. Yuster Njau on the left is the Founder and Director of "Safe Home for Children with Disabilities".

Mudhir's surgery has been rescheduled for this Friday. It will take place at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Moshi, TZ. Keep him in your prayers...

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST FOR MUDHIR.
Mudhir is having surgery tomorrow in Arusha. He is one of the Special Needs children of "Safe Home for Children with Disabilities". He has HYDROCEPHALUS, often called "water on the brain". This buildup cause harmful pressure on the brain tissue. It is primarily treated with surgical interventions like shunting to drain the excess fluid. Pray for a successful surgery. We will keep you posted.
