Sometimes we drop things off to others. Sometimes others drop things off to us!
Shirt drop offs to MVHN and Atrium by our Sweet Mules Tad and Dave were made over the last few weeks!
Our zipper angels up north dropped off zippers to us and a Girl Scout mom has taken on a tie dye effort for us and dropped off several dozen shirts she finished.
Last picture shows Larene and Jane not dropping anything except big smiles at the luncheon for the 25th anniversary of the founding of Greene Giving!
Feel free to drop us a line or a picture! We love hearing from warriors who wear our shirts!

We partner with local Girl Scout troops to tie dye the white tee shirts we get. Sometimes the moms jump in on the project! Thank you Lori Berkey for following up with this big project! There were too many to get done before Maddie left for school so she is making the magic happen!
These are so fun to work on! I won’t say brawls have occurred with the Gang over who gets to zipper these, but there was some discussion about who would get the last batch to take home! 😉🤣🥰
We still have some white tees if there are scouts that need a project! These are crowd favorites among the warriors!

On Tuesday, April 14, a large Gang congregated in the party room at Company 7 BBQ in Englewood! Was this gang up to no good? Maybe, but not likely!
We gathered to meet and eat and chat and share! We enjoyed great pulled pork and chicken and sides. While the noise level wasn’t at dangerous decibels, is was a lot of laughter and chat! 🤣
We went around the room and shared our names and backgrounds and got to know each other better. The combination of the Up North Gang and the Beavercreek Gang was a good one. We even had one fellow there who chimed in!

Thank you Company 7 for keeping the food hot and delicious! Thank you Gangstresses for making the trip! Here’s hoping for more get togethers in the future! ❤️

It has been a busy few days. We were invited to the Beavercreek Rotary Club’s monthly meeting to tell our story!
The group was warm and friendly and very supportive! Thank you Pete Bales for inviting us!
We then had a presence at our friend, Carl Stuck’s funeral. Carl was one of our biggest advocates. He bragged on us. He used our mission to connect with other patients at The James. He did not know a stranger in any room, waiting or treatment. He produced laughter in those struggling to find joy in their life facing cancer. As the minister pointed out, Carl had a servant’s heart. Who knew that he rescued chickens and eased the mind of a neighbor who worried that he would die and no one would take care of his brood? Carl was a man of so many talents. He was a musical legend. He played a magnificent pipe organ at his church. He played in a garage band as a young man. The man was accomplished.
Many thanks to the Stuck family for sharing Carl with the world. It is an honor to have had his attention and time.

Cancer comes in all sizes. Today, it came in a child size 7/8. I will admit to tears. 🥺🥺🥺

On March 14-15, Blackbarn Pickleball hosted a Rally for Maddie at their facility at 4740 Linden Ave in Dayton. Thanks to Greg West, founder of the non-profit, Games with Purpose, $4000 was raised to help the Effler family with expenses.
Maddie Ashley is nine years old. She was diagnosed with medulla blastoma. She has completed radiation and is now starting 48 rounds of chemotherapy at Dayton Childrens.
Thank you Blackbarn, Games With Purpose and all who served the pickleball successfully for supporting this family!
Shirts leftover from the event were donated to us for others to benefit from!
Paddles Up! Cancer Down. We can get behind that!
Feel free to share and add a prayer for this journey.🩷

A big thank you to Darke County Solid Waste Management for a donation of 70 short sleeved T shirts! We will be able to use these for zippered port shirts for chemo patients! The nurses might need some sunglasses! 😎😎😎

Buzz buzza buzz buzz! The Up North Gang in Darke County hosted a 2 day Sewing Bee this past week! We made 240 port shirts, cut a quarter of a mile of interfacing and 3 bags of lycra. We ate good food, sorted Eldora shirts, caught up on the latest and learned some tricks of the trade from each other. It was 2 well spent days.

It’s been a very busy month for this Gang of Seamstresses and next month looks as busy!
Cleveland Gangstress, Cindy Mittag delivered seat belt pillows to a Cleveland Clinic center! Sweet Mule Eddie delivered shirts to The James! The Up North Gang hosted a very successful 2 day sewing bee.
The Florida Gang made several deliveries to a Cleveland Clinic affiliated clinic in FL! We had several deliveries of new tee shirts!
Focus now will be on filling requests and preparing for presentations in April and of course, SEWING! 🥰
Whew! Stay tuned!
