This is great!

Sayreville Public Schools is bringing on a full-time instructor to teach American Sign Language to third graders, and dropping Spanish from the curriculum.

According to data reported to the New Jersey Department of Education, only 24 elementary schools across 14 school districts offered American Sign Language during the 2024-2025 school year — out of approximately 2,000 elementary schools statewide.

📍 LAFAYETTE PARISH UPDATE

Our Lafayette Parish Disability Disaster Preparedness Workshop, scheduled for next Saturday (August 29th), has been POSTPONED until further notice.

While we won’t be gathering in Lafayette next weekend as planned, we look forward to rescheduling and bringing this workshop to the community at a later date. 💙
