Do you live in a coastal South Carolina community with a pond? We want to hear from you!

Clemson Researchers are looking for residents to complete a short, 10-minute survey that will help improve strategies for creating healthier ponds and stronger communities across South Carolina's coast.

You may be eligible if you:

💧 Are 18 or older

💧 Live in a community with a pond

💧 Reside in Horry, Georgetown, Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, Colleton, Beaufort, or Jasper County

No prior knowledge about ponds is required. Your feedback will help researchers better understand community perspectives and guide future outreach and management efforts.

Friends, we need to have a heart to heart talk. Do you have too many plants? Do your friends, family, and neighbors shy away from you after dozens of attempts to foist yet another plant on them? Are you running out of both room and pet names for your exponentially increasing population of Rattlesnake Master, Turkey Tangle Frogfruit, or Ornithogalum adseptentrionesvergentulum?

Well on Friday, July 24th, Beidler Forest is hosting our first ever Plant Swap starting at 10AM! Bring (some of) your surplus and see what plants others bring to trade! Anyone who brings a plant to trade will also get free admission to the boardwalk. We’re going to have some native plants up for trade as well, including some 3 month old native-grown Bald Cypress saplings grown from the cones of our beloved, ancient Meeting Tree!

This event is free, but registration is required.
