We are beyond grateful for our Earth Angels who continue to provide us with fresh vegetables for our community. 🥕🥬🍅

The only real straightaway in Bat Cave, North Carolina, is located right in front of the Bat Cave Post Office. Unfortunately, this type of driving is displayed daily.
The ignorance of some of the drivers who speed through our neighborhood is unbelievable. For someone who spends time at a disaster relief hub, where people are constantly coming and going, and who also sees people coming and going from the Post Office, having to tolerate this type of behavior is beyond me.
As you can see in the video, when I heard the roar of the vehicle, I turned around, threw my hands up, and yelled, “Slow down!”
This lovely human being—if I can even call her that—responded by giving me the one-finger salute. Being myself, I responded in kind with a double high-five.
People need to understand: the speed limit in this area is 25 miles per hour. There are people walking, working, picking up mail, and coming and going from the disaster relief hub. Your ignorance and disregard for the safety of others are simply not acceptable.
To the young lady driving what appeared to be a dark-colored, possibly burgundy vehicle with a white top: I sincerely hope you had a medical emergency to justify the way you were driving and the complete disregard you showed for the safety of everyone around you.
Slow down. Respect this community. People's lives matter.

Areas that received heavy rain yesterday may be especially vulnerable. Locally, rainfall amounts could exceed 3 inches.
