It takes all kinds of abilities to make camp happen. Thankful for the abundance of talent the Lord brings to Lurecrest year after year.

Thankful today for our camp volunteers and staff families.

This ministry could not run without an incredible support network. Our camp, speakers, and boat drivers are professionals that give their time and energy to bring safety and care to campers over long days and sleepless nights.

Additionally our staff families support our full time staff while living non-traditional lives in order to provide excellent care to campers 24/7. Often times this means different ideas of summer vacation and family meal time.

Thank you to those behind the scenes supporters of our mission and vision.

The thrill of the moment!

Nothing can compete with Camp’s ability to turn ordinary moments into feats of bravery, spectacular leaps, and causes for celebration. It is a special thing to enjoy these moments together and to cheer one another on.

We are still cheering for you! As many of you start school next week, know that we saw how courageous and amazing you are. We are praying for the Lord to give you strength and joy in whatever moment comes next.

We are blessed with Godly and incredible Maintenance team.

For the last 3 years our full time maintenance team has consisted of Mac our Maintenance & Facilities Director and Matt Manzi our Site Stewardship Manager. They have accomplished so much.

Now it is time for Matt Manzi to head back to Grad school and our team will be smaller again. Matt has been a thoughtful contributor, our local expert on flora and fauna, and a kind and faithful worker. We miss you already Matt, but look forward to having a great volunteer on deck.

God has been continually kind to bring great people to this place, but it is always sad to see them leave.

Cookie Mush has been a staple at Camp Lurecrest for 4 generations. Meryl Garr came up with the recipe and tradition encourages campers to eat it without silverware.

We love our counselors!

Counselors are committed to serving their campers 24/7 rain or shine. We believe that they help paint a clear picture of God’s love and pursuit by building community and connection throughout the week. This year we had a top tier team, we can wait to see who will come back and who our new counselors will be.

Summer Staff Applications open on September 1. Every year we see some of the best and brightest young serve our campers.
We had an incredible staff this summer and can’t wait to do it again.
