𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲!

Recently, our Lifelong Access team came together for our quarterly Access Hour!

Every 90 days, we take time to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate our accomplishments, and look ahead to what’s next. We recognize milestone work anniversaries, share exciting updates from across our departments, from Pediatric Therapy, Teen, and Adult Services to our Administrative and Facilities teams and celebrate the incredible work happening throughout Lifelong Access.

With team members spread across McLean and Peoria counties, Access Hour is also a special opportunity to reconnect with coworkers we don’t get to see every day.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Eddie Mool.

If you knew Eddie, you knew he was one of a kind. A devoted Chicago Cubs fan, Eddie had a love of the game and a special place in his heart for the Special Olympics. Eddie enjoyed a good joke (and had plenty of his own to share!) and brought his own unique personality to everything he did. Whether cheering on his beloved Cubs, enjoying a little friendly competition, or sharing a laugh with friends, Eddie had a way of making ordinary moments memorable. He also had a special love for the Lone Ranger.

Eddie had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His sense of humor and the many friendships he built brought joy and countless memories to those lucky enough to know him.

At Lifelong Access, Eddie was so much more than someone we supported. He was family. His life was filled with meaningful relationships, special moments, and people who loved him deeply. We are forever grateful to have been part of his story.

We also want to recognize the incredible love and compassion that surrounded Eddie throughout his life, especially in his final days. He was cared for with dignity, kindness, and the same love he brought into the lives of so many.

A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀. Service details will be shared as soon as they become available.

Eddie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. We will hold close the laughter, the friendships, and the many special memories we were fortunate enough to share with him. His memory will always have a special place in our hearts. 💙

Nothing beats a fun night out at Culver’s! We enjoyed great food, great company, and time together over dinner.

Good food, great company, and a whole lot of singing! 🍕🎤 Our karaoke and pizza party was filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to show off our singing skills. Nothing brings people together quite like pizza and a little karaoke!

Lifelong Access was pleased to welcome Illinois State Representative Regan Deering and Chief of Staff Renee Radtke from the office of Illinois State Senator Sally Turner (R), during the 104th General Assembly (2025–2026), for a tour of the Lifelong Access Care Collective, a major community project currently under construction in downtown Bloomington.

The 65,000-square-foot historic building is being transformed into a central hub for individuals with disabilities, people with mental health needs, and families throughout McLean County and Central Illinois.

The Lifelong Access Care Collective will bring together a variety of services under one roof, including pediatric therapy, autism services, employment support, life skills training, and other programs designed to help individuals live more independent and fulfilling lives.

“We appreciated the opportunity to welcome Representative Deering and Chief of Staff Renee Radtke to share our vision for the Lifelong Access Care Collective,” said Karl Kopp, CEO of Lifelong Access. “This project is about more than a building. It is about creating opportunities, connecting people with the services they need, and strengthening our community for generations to come.”

The Lifelong Access Care Collective represents a significant investment in the future of Central Illinois, expanding access to services and creating new opportunities for individuals and families. Once completed, the facility is expected to serve approximately 700 people each day.

Lifelong Access is proud to be part of Bloomington’s continued growth and grateful for the opportunity to share this important project with state and community leaders.

Join us TOMORROW for our Autism Parent Support Group, a welcoming space for parents and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. Each session includes expert facilitation, childcare, and refreshments, all at no cost to families.
