Hello friends!!! As you all know, it's BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!! In Haiti things get going after they do here in the States. Normally this time of year we are rounding up resources for shoes, uniforms, backpacks, supplies and more. This year we have a different request from Citè Soleil Community School. They are needing to update several critical things within the school grounds. Bullet holes need repairing and smoothing, benches, desks and chairs need repairs and replacing, the kitchen needs updates, the safety gate needs to be mended, walls need paint and soooo much more. We've not had the ability to fix these things the last couple of years and although it's not quite as adorable as new uniforms and shoes, it's what is being asked for and our mission has always been to help how we are needed, not how we would like.
So, if you feel passionate about keeping kids educated, nourished safe and secure, please consider helping CSCS students in this way. EVERY SINGLE CENT helps. I'd love it if you would share this link with your friends and family, too.
It's hard to imagine these precious babies sleeping on dirt floors, lacking basic power, plumbing, food and water at home...but that is how they all live. This is why giving them a proper OASIS is paramount. ❤
