Y'all, we ran a few hundred boxes of produce through the line, sorting and packing, with skeleton crews 2 days in a row and still rocked it!!! 💪 I'm so grateful for each one of the volunteers that showed up and showed out for this distribution.

We are asking the community to pray for our volunteer team, as many of them have been facing challenges with their health or loved ones health. 🙏

After a bit of a rough day yesterday, I showed up to the FoodShare warehouse to some beautiful flowers from one of my righthand women, Volunteer Minnie, that just made my day!!! And they are my absolute favorite, Zinneas! 🌼🌸

And we want to give a huge shout out to the Livingston Farms Team for delivering beautiful yellow squash and zucchini for our Traditional Fresh Food Boxes and for the Patty Pan Squash that are for our residents in Estill!

World Hunger Day reminds us that addressing hunger takes more than emergency response, which is why we have FoodShare Bamberg serving Bamberg, Orangeburg, Allendale, and Barnwell Counties through community hubs that bring food access directly into rural communities.

I know it's an extra step, but I'm grateful that DSS is taking action to combat fraud/scammers from stealing resources from you and everyone that contributes to those resources.

I get calls weekly from our clients, and other community members, about them having their card emptied the day it is loaded. Many have told me that the purchases are not even from this country, much less this region. This has been impacting our seniors, greatly.
