Surf fishing with a cause this October!!

Save the dates.

The 2nd Annual BHI Surf Fishing Tournament — October 9-11, 2026, Bald Head Island.

Youth and Adult divisions. Five species on the board plus a Slot Red Drum shootout. Weigh-ins at the Yacht Club, awards Sunday afternoon.

$75 per angler. Registration is open now, and so are volunteer and sponsor slots.

Every dollar goes to Kids Making It, the Wilmington woodworking program that puts tools in kids' hands.

What does it take to keep a lighthouse shining? Come find out at Old Baldy! Junior Keepers will spend the evening exploring the stories of lighthouse keepers, lifesavers, and island residents through hands-on activities, challenges, creativity, and adventure.
